Endangered Species

Oncor's service area extends across Texas' natural regions, from the Trans-Pecos mountain and basin areas in the west to the Piney Woods in the east. A number of threatened and endangered plants and animals inhabit or migrate through this service area. As Oncor begins activities and plans projects, it conducts environmental assessments to ensure minimal impact to the endangered plants and animals. These assessments support the work of state and federal agencies charged with protecting the environment.
